CONCEPT
Inspired by the analog beauty of automata and early engineering, the Waveform Machine generates a kinetic hyperbolic plane with the movement of two knobs. These knobs, which connect to 2 camshafts containing 13 cams offset by 30°, rotate unidirectionally while maintaining inverse positions. As one cam rotates, the opposing cam moves accordingly, allowing the panels above to move along a central axis without interference. This creates the oscillating wave motion of the hyperbolic plane, which becomes more mesmerizing with every turn.
